Thank you so much for your generous donations to the LaGuardia High School Parents Association this school year.
Our school relies heavily on fundraising by the LaGuardia High School Parents Association for specialized materials and performances. Each year we face the threat of a deficit that puts at risk our arts programs and after school academic and athletic programs including study sessions, performances and art exhibitions. But we are a resilient bunch and don't let that threat get in the way of reaching our goals.
Check out a small sampling of what parent donations fund year after year: Rising Stars and the All School Musical Club staffing and fees Academic tutoring and National Honor Society Math and science lab supplies and Science Olympiad Athletic uniforms and fees College counseling support, essay and test prep workshops Senior field trips and graduation ceremony Orientation, first day of school events and new student auditions Student snacks, parents’ coffee and donuts and staff appreciation Books and materials for teacher training and student academic workshops Maintenance and management of the Concert Hall and Little Flower Theatre
If you can, please consider donating to our Gala’s virtual paddle raise HERE which we are keeping open until June 30 or donating directly to the General PA via Zelle (laghspa@laguardiahspa.org - Please write in the note section your name and email), PayPal or check (Mail to: LaGuardia High School PA, 100 Amsterdam Avenue, NY, NY 10023). Of course, remember to ask your employer if they will match your donations as well!
We graciously appreciate all of your support in continuing to make LaGuardia the #1 Performance and Arts High School in New York City! |
Thank you! We do have the coolest volunteers (ok, maybe not on our own but by association with our cool LaG kids). From our amazing Executive Board to the hundreds of volunteers for our shows, we make for quite the cool kids club. Thank you for caring, families! Huge congrats to our graduating families and see the rest of you in the Fall with renewed energy! Have a beautiful summer! |

Dear LaGuardia Families,
The curtain will be going up before you know it and we need help! LaGuardia High School's All-School Musical is proud to present GUYS AND DOLLS and we need YOU to help make it a show to remember. This production is a labor of love from our incredibly talented students, and behind every great show is a team of dedicated parents making it all possible. We're looking for volunteers to join our committee to help with the following: - RAFFLE TICKETS: Help build excitement and raise funds by selling raffle tickets in the weeks leading up to the show. It's a great way to get the word out and win amazing prizes!
- PLAYBILL ADS: Reach out to local businesses and community sponsors to place ads in our official show program. We provide everything you need… just bring your enthusiasm!
- DONATIONS: Help us connect with generous families, alumni, and local organizations to support the costs of costumes, sets, and production. Donations of any kind are welcome: show tickets, a diner night out, gift cards, or cash. Every dollar goes directly to the stage, and every gift is tax deductible; a win for everyone!
- CONCESSIONS: Join us for the fun of show nights! Staff our concession stand, sell refreshments, and soak in the energy of a live performance … all while cheering on our kids.
Helping out is easy! No experience necessary! Just a willing heart and a little time. Whether you can give a few hours a week or just show up on performance nights, there is a place for you on our team. Please complete THIS Google form and help us create a show to remember! Thank you for being the backbone of everything we do here at LaGuardia. LaGuardia truly could not put on this show without you. With gratitude and jazz hands, Lorena Matus and Linda Saffire Co-Vice Presidents, Productions LaGuardia High School Parents Association |
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRADUATES! As our seniors reach this final milestone, we reflect on their profound journey. This journey has not always been a straight line; we have seen our students stumble, face challenges, and muster the courage to get back up again.
They have balanced the intense demands of their academic and artistic pursuits with an incredible, hardworking spirit, proving that creativity is not just a talent - it is a discipline.
This year has been defined by their courage to explore, to question, and to begin determining their own paths. As they leave the halls of LaGuardia behind, their true strength lies not just in their achievements, but in the resilience they forged along the way.
We are honored to celebrate these extraordinary young adults as they move forward.
THANK YOU! We want to thank the seniors and their parents who shared their tips at the Academic Forum's last information session. If you missed it, you can find the recording HERE.
If you wish to join the new members of Academic Forum next year, please let the Parents Association Presidents know you'd like to be added to the ballot for the new school year's elections.
Have a safe, healthy and happy summer! |

Thank you all for a wonderful year for Tech. Your continued support means so much. Congratulations to all of our Tech Seniors — what a talented group. We were so thrilled to celebrate you last Monday. A huge thank you to the parents who helped make the Senior Celebration such a success: Micah, Marianna, Sharon, Peter, Griffin, Sarah, Kathy, and Rebecca. We could not have done it without you. We also want to welcome Kim Bruno, our new AP of Tech and Drama. We are so excited to have you! Before we sign off for the summer, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible tech teachers — Amelia, Abigail, Shea, G-Ben, Ralph, and Eli. We are so grateful for everything you give to our students and our community. Wishing you all a well-deserved restful summer. Finally, a big thank you to the parent volunteers who worked so hard with us on the Tech Board this year. Amy, (you will be missed - and Scott and Adele too!), Marcia, Shelly, and Marianna. Thank you for continuing to join us with an expanded board next year. We still have some open positions — if you're interested, please reach out! We'll be monitoring our email at tech@laguardiahspa.org over the summer, so don't hesitate to get in touch here or on the WhatsApp chat.
