GO LIONS! SPORTS REPORT

Good evening, LaGuardia students and parents!

In the past week, our Girls Varsity Softball team showed off their teamwork with some impressive plays.

Looking ahead, our Girls Varsity Fencing team is getting ready for an exciting match at Bronx Academy Letters @ Paul Robeson Complex on April 15th. Another opportunity, on the same day, awaits our Softball Girls Varsity, as they prepare to compete at Brigadier General Charles Young Playground.

On April 17th, our Fencing Girls Varsity team will return to their LaGuardia home turf, ready to demonstrate their skills and teamwork. As these events approach, the anticipation grows, and we're eager to see our athletes shine.

Get ready for another week filled with thrilling sports events! We wish the best of luck to all our students, athletes, and parents as we come together to support our talented athletes!

ATHLETICS BANQUET

Attention families of LaGuardia athletes. The date for this year’s athletics banquet is Thursday, May 23rd at 4:30 p.m. Deadline to RSVP is Monday, May 13th. Please click HERE to complete the Google RSVP form.

SUPPORT OUR TEACHERS

Thank you for fully funding Coach Greene and Coach Alfonso's most recent project request for volleyball training equipment for the Lions Varsity Volleyball teams!

DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to support teachers' projects, ensuring that teachers and students have the tools and experiences they need for a great education. The LaGuardia community has done a great job of helping to fund teachers' projects.

Let's keep the momentum going!

  • Let's help Mrs. McGoey receive an iPad, tissues and paper for student hygiene and projects.
  • Let's help Mr. Mesiouris in receiving supplies for the Drafting Unit and the Dice Unit for an applied science course: The Science of Board Game Design. (Donations currently being matched.)

Please visit our DonorsChoose page and share the links with your networks, family and friends. Anyone can donate, and all donations are tax deductible. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.
