SEMI-ANNUAL ART SHOW OPENING!
EARLY DISMISSAL PROTOCOL

Many have asked what the protocol is if your student needs to leave school early. Please read the procedure below. It is important to note that if you want to give permission for your student to leave on their own, you must email the day the student is leaving early - you can't email in advance.

Procedure:

Upon entry, the parent/guardian will present their photo identification to the safety agents on duty. You will then be directed to complete the (parent/guardian) QR code in the lobby reception area. In the meantime, the student will report to room 201 to complete the early dismissal process before leaving the building. Once we have verified that the person is indeed listed among the student's authorized contacts, we release the student.

Alternatively, if you wish to authorize your child to leave the premises on their own, you will need to email the attendance office, on the day of, including your photo identification. Our email addresses are: tdelesline@schools.nyc.gov and jjavier2@schools.nyc.gov. You must also direct your child to report to room 201 to complete the early dismissal process before leaving the building.

Thereafter, the parent/guardian must email the teachers of the classes that the student missed. All emails should detail the student's name, OSIS number and date(s) of absence. Please be sure to "cc" the attendance office.

Thank you, The Attendance Office

TEACHERS NEED YOUR HELP!

Thank you for fully funding three teacher projects this past week:

  • Ms. Ross will now receive wireless microscopes, giving students the ability to work on small scale drawings and etchings in great detail.
  • Mr. Harkness will now receive engaging texts to help students further develop their reading skills.
  • Ms. Fischer will now receive printer copy paper for math and health classes

There are currently 11 teachers' projects on our DonorsChoose page. With even more budget cuts on the horizon, it is more important than ever that we support our teachers and students by helping to fund these projects.

Please review all of the projects on our DonorsChoose page and share the links with your networks, family and friends. Anyone can donate, and all donations are tax deductible. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.
