It is now set for June 14th from 5:30pm-6:30pm.

We'll meet the newly elected PA Executive Board Members and we will be voting on the updated PA Bylaws and our proposed budget for the 2023-2024 school year.

Our current bylaws can be read HERE (a revised draft and our proposed budget will be sent out prior to the meeting) if approved at our General PA Meeting, the new bylaws will:

1. create a new position on the PA Executive Board. The Vice President, Special Education will be the parent or guardian of a student with a disability (IEP or 504) and be responsible for helping the LaGuardia community to better understand the special education services entitled to students and help to advocate for them.

2. allow us the option to elect Class Representatives in the spring. The current bylaws require the Class Representatives to be elected in the fall. The Freshman Class Representative will continue to be elected at the first PA meeting in the fall.

Please mark your calendars and join us in person on June 14th.

We look forward to seeing you!

Girls Varsity Soccer Tryouts

The Girls Varsity Soccer team will be holding No Cut tryouts on Tuesday, June 6th , Thursday June 8th and Friday June 9th at Riverside Park 103/104 after school . The No Cut Tryout process is an opportunity for girls to come measure their skills against players who are attempting to return to the team and Alumni who have played for the team before. These tryouts/workouts are not mandatory, so if a student can't make it, it will not have an impact on their official tryouts in August. Students must have a completed parental consent form and a completed PSAL Physical form, signed by their doctor to tryout/workout. Please contact Mr. Steffa if you have any questions.

Lady Lions JV Soccer

The Lady Lions JV girl's soccer team advanced to the semifinals by defeating NewDorp high school from Staten Island by a margin of 5-1. Rosie Chin  scored 4 goals and Hazel Kamisky scored the other girls. All the goals were assisted by our feisty captain Elsie Hennegan and the super cool Josie Buyer. Next game is on Wednesday at the Brooklyn Tech field at 5:30 pm. Come support the girls.

In Track and field news. Naomi Douglas and captain Marcela Carver performed well at the City Championships for track and field on Sunday May 28th. Marcela medal 6th in the triple jump 30-03.5 ft. Naomi Douglas medal 6th in the 1500m (5:07.83) and came 1st in grand style in the 2k steeplechase (7:31.97) which granted her a ticket to the NY States High School track and field Championships at Middletown high school June 9-10th.
