LaG Swag
School Spirit Day a Success!

Thank you to everyone who made our first School Spirit Shopping Day a huge success!

The mood was lively and the togetherness was complimented by the Senior Snack Sale. The laughter and camaraderie was positively charged.

Our November and December shopping dates will be announced soon.

We could not have launched this fun event without our school administration's support and our  parent volunteers - shout out to our Freshmen parents!

All proceeds directly support the PA and studio enrichment programs for our wonderful students and educators!

Culture Club
Awesome LaG Students!

Report from NOGA TENZIN, Senior Class President

This past Monday, October 24th, LaGuardia hosted its first EVER Cultural Night! This celebration highlighted the intersectionality of LaGuardia students as both artists and diverse individuals (not to mention excellent cooks).

The PA generously sponsored meal costs, making it possible for over 12 cultural clubs to participate in the pot-luck right before the beautiful performances. Watching students’ faces repeatedly light up— either recognizing songs they grew up on, or resonating with traditions they’d never before seen— was one of the best parts.

The success of this event reminds us to never forget how special and powerful the coming together of our community is :)

Fundraising
How to Support Our Community

Donate your time - Whether you’re available once a week, once a month, or once a year, please fill out our volunteer questionnaire so that we can reach out to you when an activity suits you. This will allow you to meet and team up with other LaG families who share your interests in our school. Go to our Volunteer Interests, Skills and Resources form here.

Annual Appeal - Your generosity helps LAGHSPA minimize the impact of long-standing NYC DOE budget gaps in our children’s education. LaG teachers and administrators work diligently to make the most of their budget, and the LaG PA provides necessary additional resources. To give online today click here.

Donor's Choose - Fund classroom projects and needs as requested by our teachers.  View our teacher's projects here

Specific Initiatives -  Funding for one-time initiatives or grade specific requests such as Graduation.

Thank you for your generosity!

Together, we have successfully funded 14 teachers' projects this school year!

Let's keep the momentum going!

Help Ms. Harisiadis grow the LGBTQ+ Library for students taking the Gender & Identity Literature Elective. (only $150 to go)

Help Mr. Antao introduce Table Tennis as a new engaging unit in Physical Education. (more than 3/4 of the way funded!)

Many more of our teachers urgently need our support in getting their projects funded as quickly as possible to ensure that they are able to successfully carry out their planned curriculum.

Please view all projects on our DonorsChoose page and share with friends and family.  Anyone can contribute and all donations are tax deductible!

Your contribution and/or sharing of these links are greatly appreciated!!

DANCE

The DANCE School Spirit Fire Sale was a great success in moving outdated merchandise to make room for new stuff!

A huge THANK YOU to our volunteers (senior parent, Jessica Prior, and freshman parents Sharon Goodman and Maria Ladenheim) who spent the Saturday before organizing, folding, labeling etc.  And to our Thursday afternoon volunteers (sophomore parents Beverly Buscemi/Erica Schohn, junior parent Stephanie Weiss) who braved the throngs of dancers looking for a deal!

And don’t forget to visit the PA Dance Studio Webpage to find out what’s coming up, how to donate, how to connect, etc!
