Welcome, Junior Families!

We are Rasheedah Brown-Harris and Nathifa Lewis, your Junior Class Co-Representatives for the 2026–2027 school year!

Junior year is an important AND busy time as our students balance academics, their artistic commitments, testing, extracurricular activities, and preparation for life after LaGuardia. Our goal this year is to help keep junior families informed, connected, and prepared, while sharing useful resources and opportunities along the way.

WELCOME WELCOME to all the new Tech Families! It was great to meet so many of you and your kids on Thursday in the cafeteria.

Most important links are signing up for MTK to get all PA communications, joining the Tech Theater whatsapp group and the 9th and 10th grade supply lists.

A hearty welcome to the parents of Class of '30 Music Studio students, and a welcome back to all the parents of '27 - '29. We were really excited to meet some of you at orientation this week (and to see so many of you show your studio love by purchasing a Music Studio hoodie or one of our new LaG dad tees!). All merch sales and donations go to support the Music Studio.

If you have received this it means you can also look forward to receiving our weekly newsletter Music Monday. A prequel edition will arrive in your mailbox tomorrow, September 7th.

Welcome to our Dance Studio, families! It was great to meet some of our incoming members last week and we look forward to engaging all during the school year.

Cultured Kids Cuisine is an international non-profit organization striving to foster cultural awareness through food. It is run by 100+ women and non-binary high school and college students from all over the world, and offers a variety of free services to children, such as virtual cooking workshops, food anthropology course, educational podcast, food blog, eCookbook, and much more. 

They are currently recruiting high school and college students for their 10th cohort. While no previous experience is necessary, all they ask is that applicants are passionate about building a future of love and tolerance through food. The internship is fully-funded and students will be paired with a mentor and have the opportunity to attend weekly workshops led by successful women founders and entrepreneurs, growing their network and skillset in the process.
