Why Your Survey Matters: Direct Impact: Your responses directly influence how we allocate resources, design academic programs, and create support services for your child. Critical Decision-Making: School leaders use this data to reflect on your feedback and make important decisions about programming that affects your child's daily experience. Every Voice Counts: Without your input, we lack the full picture of what our school community needs.
How to Complete the Survey (Deadline is April 1) - Visit NYCSchoolSurvey.org.
- Choose a preferred language.
- Enter the correct access code: lowercase "f" followed by your child's 9-digit Student ID (OSIS) number (example: f123456789). You can access your child's 9-digit OSIS number online through Jupiter or your New York City Schools Account (NYCSA). It is vital to put the "f" before the OSIS number to fill out the survey, without the correct access code, you will be incorrectly filling out the form.
- Complete and submit the survey.
Need Assistance? Please contact our Parent Coordinator, Tracy, at tballas@schools.nyc.gov or 646-450-4513 for any help you need.

AP FINALS TEST PREP! The Academic Forum has arranged to offer LaGuardia students 10% off any Compass AP group course review using the code ACADEMICFORUM. The usual price is $195 per subject for four weekly 90-minute online workshops, starting April 11 or 12. The registration deadline is April 6. For an additional fee, Compass offers AP practice exams. The Music Studio would like to express its immense awe, pride, and appreciation for all of the students and teachers who performed in or supported the Operetta Of Thee I Sing this weekend. Each of the four shows was spectacular, and both casts left every audience member smiling. We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who attended the show and supported the performances with their applause as well as their dollars, and an extra special thanks to the many parent volunteers. Thanks to those volunteers and thanks to your donations, the Music Studio PA was able to provide lunch to the cast, pit, and crew between Saturday's performances. Through our refreshment and merchandise sale and post-show collections, we guarantee that future performances will have the funding they need. Additionally, purchases of pastries and sweatshirts at the Jazz table brought the Jazz Orchestra's trip to Denmark a little closer to fruition. (You can continue to help them HERE.) None of this would be possible without our volunteers!
Congratulations to our students on their accomplishments. We know how very hard you worked and your dedication absolutely showed on stage. Of this operetta we will be singing for years to come!

URINETOWN IS COMING! Our first of three fabulous SDFs is coming. March 26–28. URINETOWN! Yes, that's really the name. And these kids? They're absolute whizzes in it. You might even say they're real number ones. (We'll stop.) Get tickets HERE while they last!
PARENTS' NIGHT OUT (you've earned it) PODS pulled some strings - okay fine, it fell on our laps, but still - and scored a block of discounted $23 tickets to Dry Land at University Settlement House, featuring LaG alum Isa Barrett March 20 & 21. These are first come, first served, and they will go fast, so maybe stop reading this email and grab yours now. (Okay fine, finish the email first. We worked hard on it. But then go. Seriously. We'll wait.)
Reserve and pay HERE. One small but important PayPal note (sorry, we know — PayPal, everyone's favorite): use the dropdown to select Drama Studio and add a note that payment is for "Dry Land Tickets." It's annoying. We don't make the rules. Actually, we kind of do. But based on things out of our control.
Heads up: this is not a LaGuardia or DOE-sponsored event, and chaperones will not be present. (It's a grown-up night. Act accordingly. Or don't. We're not your chaperones either.) More about the show HERE!
THEY WANT TO LIVE FOREVER! Remember when that acceptance email arrived? The tears? The screaming? The group text that nearly crashed your phone? That one parent who definitely did not ugly-cry on the way back from Trader Joe’s? (No judgment. That parent may or may not be writing this email.) Accepted Students Day is coming up, and we need volunteers to work the Drama merch table — a chance to welcome the next wave of LaG families and maybe relive that magic a little. Tissues optional but recommended. Sign up HERE. |
Dear Dance Families,
First, we need a few volunteers to help us sell gear and answer questions at the Admitted Student Open House on the evening of March 24 -- please email us at dance@laguardiahspa.org or hop on WhatsApp to let us know if you can help. This is a fun one!
Second, we ask that you please consider supporting our senior dancers and their choreographers by sponsoring a dance for the Graduation Dance Concert. This is the dance department's most important fundraiser and many of the pieces are still missing sponsors - let's not let that happen! You can learn more about how to support HERE. Please participate if you are able, and share out this information with friends, families and businesses who might be interested in supporting our young artists.
Warmly, Katie & Barbette |
MARCH 24 – ART MERCH SALE AT ACCEPTED STUDENT OPEN HOUSE LaGuardia’s Accepted Student Open House is scheduled for March 24th, and the Art Studio still has a few spots open for volunteers for the Art merch sale at the event. This event is always an exciting and happy one! Please sign up HERE!
LOOKING AHEAD The school year is flying by, and we (both Cindy and Kristin!) are parents of seniors! We love our jobs as Art Co-Reps, but it’s only ours for a few more months. All that to say, if you’re thinking about running for Art Co-Rep next year, this is a GREAT time to let us know! We’d love to share our knowledge with the next Co-Reps to help create a smooth transition. If you’re thinking about it and want to learn more, please complete interest form HERE to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you! Our wonderful Art PA Webmaster Yun Joo Shin also has a student graduating, so the Art PA will need a volunteer for that key role next year. If that’s of interest, please use the same interest form HERE and just let us know in the questions/comments field. THE ART STUDIO STILL NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT The LaGuardia Art Studio relies heavily on the support of our parents and guardians to help fund essential art supplies and materials for our students. If you have not already donated for the 2025-2026 school year, now is a perfect time! Donations of any size are greatly appreciated, and every contribution helps! Please click HERE to donate. Please feel free to email us anytime at: art@laguardiahspa.org. We'd love to hear from you!
Have a great week ahead! Kristin Leigh & Cindy Wolf |
