Volunteer with the PA for West Side Story! Our show opened last week, and the energy is palpable throughout our school and beyond. Tickets have been hard to come by, but volunteering offers a good way to come and be in the midst of it all. There are slots available as hall monitors, basket collectors, selling concessions or merchandise and being part of the behind-the-scenes energy.
Sign up to volunteer at one (or more!) of the performances. Thank you in advance for your support—it’s a wonderful way to get involved!
Volunteer Sign-Up Sheet HERE. Thanks to all who have already shown up! Here some pictures of the fun. |
ACT and SAT Prep - deadline TODAY! Today is the deadline for SAT and ACT Test Prep Courses offered by Academic Forum through its partnership with Academic Approach.
Both courses still need 2-3 more students to enroll in order to meet the required enrollment size and secure these heavily discounted test prep opportunities for our LaG students. Please consider signing up your student so they and their fellow students get the preparation they need to do their best on the Spring standardized tests.
Courses will be held Sundays from 9:30-11:30am, from January 4 to March 15 (SAT) and January 4-March 29 (ACT). The courses cost $389 and some financial aid is available.
Course information and registration can be found HERE.
The Academic Forum has been very active on Instagram this term providing LaG community members with resources and tips on a variety of academic and post-secondary topics such as: tutoring, college fairs, faculty support, student engagement with teachers/guidance counselors, dual enrollment classes, college applications, passion project roadmaps, growth mindset strategies, study supports and more.
To get the latest updates, please follow us on Instagram @lagPA_academicforum, link HERE.
Lastly, for students as well as the PA community, we want to pass along this useful guide HERE about creating resumes and cover letters by Mignone Center for Career Success. |
