The School Profile

All high schools publish a school profile to provide colleges with information about the school's educational environment, which helps admissions officers understand a student's transcript and accomplishments within the opportunities available at their specific high school. For high school counselors, the profile is also an advocacy tool. It can explain a school's specialized programs, unique learning approaches, or the challenges its student body may face, providing admissions teams with a more complete understanding of each applicant's background.

LaG's School Profile (updated for 2025-2026) can be found HERE.

Instagram!

Along with SNN weekly emails, the Academic Forum is now using Instagram as another method to provide and amplify school academic and post-secondary updates. To get the latest updates, please follow us on Instagram @lagPA_academicforum, link HERE.

Hello Music Studio Families!

Just a few reminders and call-outs for our families.

First, the Music Studio PA still needs parent volunteers for the Concerto Competition during the Tuesday, September 30th @ 3:30-5:00pm volunteer timeslot to help AP Schott. Please sign up HERE. (The preference is for Music Studio Vocal parents, since the volunteers cannot have affiliation with Instrumental students participating in the concerto competition.)

MUSIC SHOWCASE ACCEPTING AUDITION SUBMISSIONS THROUGH OCTOBER 9!

Audition Submission Deadline: Thursday, October 9th @ 11:59pm.

Submit Video Auditions HERE.

  • All grades eligible in the Music Studio - acts may also include students from other studios, as long as a Music Studio student is leading the process by submitting the audition

  • Solo, Duet, Group, Band

  • Instrumental, A capella, Mixed, even non-Musical acts

  • Originals, covers, you name it!

The event will take place Sunday, November 9th at 2:00pm at Hill Country Barbecue Market and is to benefit the Music Studio PA. (This is not an official LaGuardia event.)

Here are some pics from last year’s Music Studio Showcase in April 2025. It was a professional and supportive environment with good vibes all around, and this year’s showcase in November will be just as great!

Finally, please remember that our next in-person Music Studio PA meeting is coming up with AP Schott giving an overview of the 2025-26 school year.
