Thank You!

The Music Studio is grateful to all of our supporters and volunteers. Without our collaborative efforts, we would not be able to provide our students with the necessary extras to enhance their artistic endeavors and their evolution as artists, which includes assisting our teachers with classroom accompanists and professional consultants, along with additional professional development.

Wishing you a beautiful holiday season filled with love, peace and joy, and a restful break.

We look forward to seeing you in 2023!

Young Arts Winners!

The Music Studio would like to correct our previous announcement of the YoungArts winners. We unintentionally omitted two of our winning music students: Luna Adams and Piper Miller.

We are proud of our Music Studio students for being recognized for their talents in receiving awards from YoungArts, The National Foundation for the Advancement of Artists.

So, once again, we'd like to send out a huge CONGRATULATIONS to all winners from the LaGuardia Music Studio - because, twice is nice!

Teacher Spotlight: Holiday Edition
Getting To Know Our Music Faculty...

As we get ready for the holiday season, the Music Studio thought a fun and festive way to introduce our music faculty, and get to know them a little bit better, would be to ask them to participate in a little holiday question and answer fun. This week we are asking:

Joseph Myers, Coordinator of Instrumental Music

Q: What is your favorite holiday movie?

A: I'm from a fairly large family, one of five children. Every year growing up, we would watch the holiday classic, it's A Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart. The movie is about an angel sent from heaven to help a frustrated and desperate businessman see that his life really mattered and what the lives of loved ones would have been like if he had never existed.  One year, my oldest sister claimed she had never seen it.  My siblings and I found this to be hysterically funny.  Ever since, we take turns pretending we have never seen or heard of the movie. Inevitably, we would sit down and watch the movie again, together.

Q: Finish this thought, "It wouldn't be the holiday season without _____?

A: Seeing family. On Christmas Eve, my siblings and their children get together for a large meal and to exchange presents.  On Christmas Day, I travel to Los Angeles to spend the remainder of the holiday with my in-laws.

Don't Forget!
